About
My name is David Prentice, I’ve been a techno type since before most of you were born. I come from the age of computer programs on punch cards and magnetic tape, slide rules and analog adding machines.
You can find my personal blog here.
I like to take photos of lots of stuff I find interesting, from local scenery to stuff I work on. I have been getting setup for this whole video revolution, including live streaming via Ustream. You can find my Ustream channel here.
Broadcast Setup:
I’m using a Panasonic PS-G320P DV video cam. It has 3CCD for magnificent picture quality. With Webcammax and, sometimes, the Flash Media Encoder.
Cameras:
I also have a Canon HG-10 Hi Definition Camcorder with a 40 gig hard drive. With wide-angle and telephoto converters. And the extra batteries and accessories.
The still camera is the Nikon D-70. I have two Sigma zoom lenses for it, a 70-300mm and a 28-90mm for framing shots.
Computer:
I”m presently using an Alienware Aurora ALX for a desktop.
Intel i7 975E processor at 3.33 ghz.
12 gigs of RAM.
Dual HD 5870 with 1gb of video RAM each.
Two Dell U2410 LCD monitors at 1920 x 1200.
